The “Tramp Stamp” is making a comeback and we are fully prepared

All of you Gen Xers and First Generation Millennials are about to be “cool” again.
I mean, you’re already cool!! Don’t let them tell you otherwise!!
One of my absolute favorite trends from the late 90s and early 2000s is making a comeback, and I’m about to go schedule a date with my local tattoo artist!!

The lower back tattoo – affectionately *eye roll* nicknamed the “Tramp Stamp” – returns in style! Gah!!
ALL the celebrities were getting them. Stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera wore theirs as a badge of honor, and everyone flocked to tattoo shops to look like them.
A “Tramp Stamp” with a pair of super low rise jeans with that “Whale Tale*” – that was the thing to do, right?!?
I will admit. I was too chicken to dive into the world of lower back tattoos in the late 90s. I didn’t end up getting a “Tramp Stamp”.
I’ve had 5 OTHER tattoos, but none of them were worth the name – completely offensive.
The “Tramp Stamp” fell into disuse almost as quickly as it began. All Gen Xers and Millennials were relegated to tucking in or wearing long shirts hoping no one would see their tattoos.

Well, let them speak loud and clear!!
Missed the boat the first time lower back tattoos were a thing?
You don’t have to wait anymore. The “Tramp Stamps” are back in force.
Isn’t it cute how the younger generation thinks they’ve thought of all the “cool” things to do – how to do their hair, the clothes they buy and buy, the tattoos they wear mark. I went there, it’s done.
They don’t realize exactly how “cool” their parents were – and still are!!
Next thing you know, belly button rings are going to be back. Ah!! We’re all waiting to get our butterfly navel piercings back in – you know you saved yours!
*You don’t know what a “whale’s tail” is? It’s when your thong underwear pops over your low-rise jeans, looking like a whale diving into the water. Ha!
