Tenacious D takes on the Beatles Medley for Doctors Without Borders

D is for Doctors, D is for Donations and D is for Tenacious D, who turned their last song into a fundraising outing, helping to raise money for the Doctors Without Borders charity. But this is no ordinary song release as the Ds faced off against “The World’s Greatest Band”, dubbing a mix of Beatles songs.

Jack Black and Kyle Gass cover “You Never Give Me Your Money” and “The End” by The Beatles as part of a 7 “limited edition vinyl, all of the proceeds of which will be donated to the Doctors Without Borders organization.

Retreating from their heaviness at the start, the duo begin the song tenderly with melodic vocals and acoustic guitars before Black begins to increase the aggressiveness.

Speaking of the decision to reprise the song, the couple said, “Tenacious D pays homage to the greatest band in the world… not themselves… The Beatles !!! In the spirit of healing the world… please enjoy Tenacious D’s mashup of two Abbey Road classics. All profits from the vinyl are donated to Médecins Sans Frontières. “

Head over to the Tenacious D website to place your orders and search for the song now on the streaming services.
