Stop leaving abandoned cars in precious Philadelphia parking lots

One of the things I hate about Philly is parking. It’s bad enough that I’m the absolute worst at parallel parking, but even trying to find parking takes way too long. I always said it was my dream to live in a big, busy city. However, since switching to PA, this dream is no more. My hair styling appointments are always in Philadelphia, I have family in the busiest areas of the city and my boyfriend lives well there. And since I’ve been here I’ve realized that the suburb where there is a lot of parking is more my speed.
It doesn’t help that even when there is parking available in Philadelphia, you can even get in because the surrounding cars are parked in a crooked fashion. But I think we can all agree that the most annoying part of finding parking spots is when a spot is taken up by an abandoned car. Yes, I said it. ABANDONED. It’s more common than you might think, and the people of Philly are sick of it!
A photo is currently going viral of an abandoned car in West Philly that has been parked on the side of the road for too long. Someone finally got tired of the car sitting there wasting precious space and decided to paint the car with the words “abandoned”. The person did not stop there. They proceeded to make sure the towers would be made aware of the car by spray painting the group with the words “tow” with arrows pointing at the car. Genius.
I mean hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. There is no parking in Philly, we need every space we can get!
