New Neighborhood Kids Announce Fenway Park Show Postponement
The new date is August 6
The new neighborhood kids are thrilled to announce their long-awaited return to famous Fenway Park on Friday August 6th. Hometown heroes will once again make their way to Fenway’s grounds for an action-packed show, promising plenty of special surprises along the way. Boston native compatriots and legendary multi-platinum artist Bell Biv Devoe, will join global superstars for the one-night-only special event. The show, which was originally scheduled to take place in 2020, was delayed when the world shut down due to the global pandemic. After months of uncertainty and reflection, the Red Sox and New Kids on the Block are finally able to offer Boston the must-see event of the summer!
All tickets already purchased will be honored for the new date. And starting from the NKOTB presales on Wednesday, May 19, a limited number of incredible new seats have been made available to fans who were unable to purchase tickets last year. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 21 at 10 a.m.ET through Ticketmaster.
“It has been a difficult year for so many people. We can’t think of a better way to start doing what we love most again – than to be with our fans and take to the stage, in the most sacred places. It will be an emotional evening and we plan to give our fans a celebration unlike anything our city has seen, ”said Donnie Wahlberg, member of New Kids on the Block.
NKOTB, Live Nation and the Boston Red Sox will be handing out a number of tickets to local healthcare workers and first responders who have been heroes throughout the pandemic.
This show will be their first live main event since their Mixtape tour, the highest grossing tour of their career. NKOTB will be heading to historic Fenway Park for a special one-night-only return marking NKOTB’s only show for the 2021 calendar year. Known for delivering Blockheads with one-night-only experiences and legendary collaborative events, NKOTB promises to play fan favorite hits such as “Hangin Tough”, “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)” and “Step By Step” and will bring as well as special guests Bell Biv Devoe with many more surprises promised in course. The band had previously performed at world-famous baseball stadium for the first time, when they visited the Green Monster on their famous NKOTBSB tour alongside the Backstreet Boys. NKOTB returned for the second time on the Package Tour with Paula Abdul and Boyz II Men. Their return, now scheduled for Friday August 6, marks their third participation on the legendary field. Getting the chance to play Fenway is always a dream for the Boston-born Five and an honor shared with Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.
