Melvins Announces Electric Roach Summer 2022 Tour

Melvins won’t let much grass grow under his feet as his tour with Ministry and Corrosion of Conformity wraps up this week, as they have announced Electric Roach’s US tour for this summer. The five-week trek begins June 15 in Long Beach, Calif., and ends July 20 in Berkeley, Calif., marking the trio’s first headlining show since 2019. Helms Alee and Harsh Mellow will open the shows and performances. tickets will continue. sale this Friday.

“It’s nice to be able to tour!! We were wondering if it would ever be possible again,” vocalist and guitarist Buzz Osborne said in a statement. “It’s been years since we’ve played at these places. The amazing Ministry tour has been a warm up for that!”

The Melvins have also been busy releasing new music lately. In 2021, the band released Work with God and the four-album acoustic anthology Five-legged dog. They recently released the four track lord of the flies EP, which features two original songs, a cover of Soundgarden’s “Spoonman” and a mashup of Led Zeppelin’s “Misty Mountain Hop” and Devo’s “Uncontrollable Urge” titled “Misty Mountain Urge”.
