Max Weinberg to headline the NJ Lottery Festival of Ballooning on July 23
(READINGTON, NJ) – For 45 years, Max Weinberg held the drum chair behind Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, performing in front of millions of people around the world. Now Max Weinberg’s jukebox comes with an unlimited repertoire of classic songs, ready to engage audiences at the upcoming New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning in a truly interactive concert experience on July 23.
Weinberg invites his fans to create the set list in real time, and his crack quartet will perform audience song requests on demand. They’ll perform hits from the glory days of rock-and-roll — everything from the Beatles to the Stones, of course the greatest hits of Bruce and The Street Band.
“We take great pride in continuing to provide our attendees with a truly unique and memorable concert experience year after year,” said Howard Freeman, executive producer of the festival. “It will be one of the most exciting and energetic performances we have ever had.”
Weinberg, the rhythmic force from New Jersey and the driving force behind the E Street Band, is also known to millions of fans for anchoring the house group for Late night with Conan O’Brien for 17 years, where he enjoyed expanding his role as conductor and music historian in residence.
At the Festival, song requests may be accompanied by a history lesson on the song or a personal anecdote from Weinberg, who has performed with many rock and roll greats or knows them personally.
Let’s face it, when playing drums for Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band you’ve probably met a few people.
