Lorde has revealed a taste of the songs she’ll be listening to this summer – giving fans an in-depth look at her favorite songs.

The New Zealand star released her third album Solar Power in Auckland and, true to her love for the sun, she confirmed the songs on her playlist.

The 25-year-old posted the playlist as a promotion for Apple Music, and fellow Aotearoa musicians Broods, Melodownz and LAB also shared their top picks.

Lorde’s choices range from pop sensation Handle Me by Robyn to Not My Neighbor by Niko Walters.

“Obviously this playlist is perfect for me. I wanted to pick a collection of songs mostly from the last few years that really stood out on me – and these are all songs that I would gladly have put on the beach. There’s not much connective tissue in terms of gender, but I love them for their spaciousness, their lightness, and their sassy. “

Lorde detailed some of her song choices for the platform:

Doo Wop (That Thing): A basic text and a masterclass in a dozen things. The production is big and tough but so simple, and I love the feeling of the sun while being tough.

Caroline: I’m a huge Arlo Parks fan, and this song makes me feel like I’m in London, Radiohead mixed with the radio.

Disco Man: Obsessed with the constant production of this girl’s clever and funny pop songs.

Stay High: I loved this Brittany Howard album, and I’m delighted with this reinterpretation with Gambino.

Lost: One of those songs that is so deeply imbued with the sun that it sounds alchemical; constantly come back to this when trying to crack its code.
