Halo TV Show Image shows Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief
2022 looks to be the year of sci-fi and fantasy, and with the series’ first official teaser arriving at today’s Game Awards, Weekly entertainment created the first official Paramount + image Halo series, starring the star Pablo schreiber dressed as John-117 – better known as Master Chief, the enigmatic protagonist of the video game franchise.
Clad in the heavy green and orange mechanical armor recognizable to fans and laymen alike the world over, Schreiber looks perfectly at home in the twenty-sixth century, a soldier in a seemingly endless war against a race of aliens. known as the Covenant, raised from childhood to know only war and combat.
As Schreiber’s first leading role, after appearing as a star in shows like American gods and Orange is the new black, the actor described the task of taking Master Chief to EW as “Herculean,” the kind of job that requires intense preparation, both mentally and physically as he prepares to present the world with his version of a Beloved Video Game Hero:
âIt’s a huge job, setting the tone for the grueling task of waking up at dawn to practice, then going to shoot and coming home to practice again. Nothing is easy. , and I wouldn’t want it to be …[The project] takes place a lot in the universe created by video games, but it’s a TV show. We can expand this universe and create stories in it. There will be new characters introduced, there will be a lot of familiar characters that everyone will know from the game. “
The series is finally set to hit Paramount + in 2022 after a long and eventful production run, making the jump to popular Showtime streamer after being traded for The man who fell to earth, an adaptation of the two Walter tevisnovel by and its cult 1976 film adaptation with David Bowie. The series is the third attempt to bring the military sci-fi franchise to the big screen, after an in-game feature film and an unsuccessful webseries failed to attract significant audiences.
Also featuring Natascha McElhone, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive gray, Yerin Ha, and the voice of Jen taylor like Cortana, Halo will premiere on Paramount + sometime in 2022, although no exact release date has been announced.
