Charlie Bird has revealed he will be attending Bruce Springsteen next year, after his ‘adorable’ son-in-law Rob secured tickets on Tuesday morning.

This follows the former RTE broadcaster revealing that seeing The Boss live in the RDS Arena in 2023 was “on [his] bucket list.’

Sharing the happy news via Twitter on Tuesday, Charlie said: “Woke up this morning to the news, my lovely son-in-law Rob has tickets to Brucie. So everything sorted. Thank you for all the offers, and thank you for reaching out with kindness and friendship.

Charlie shares his desire to see Springsteen and the E-Street Band since Friday when tickets went on sale and sold out almost immediately.

On Thursday, the 72-year-old also revealed he would like Springsteen’s Land of Home and Dreams to be played as his farewell “when the time comes”.

Followers of the beloved broadcaster promised him their tickets, if they ended up not needing them for whatever reason.
