Comedian imitates listening to Rage Against The Machine

A TikTok video of a man re-enacting what it was like to first listen to Rage Against The Machine in the ’90s has gone viral. Comedian Jacob Givens portrayed the screenplay by adopting the role of a rocker introducing his friend to the 1993 stomper Rage Freedom.
As the song plays in the background, the Rage fan comments on his friend’s speculation as he walks him through each part of the listening session. Impressed by the overflowing music seeping into his eardrums, the friend said to himself, “Wow. You must be mad at it! “. The rocker responds “Totally”, and goes on to comment on how very pissed off singer Zack de la Rocha is in the song, as he says, “He looks so angry. And now I’m mad at what makes him angry! “.
The video ends with the couple excited about Freedom Outro emblematic of hell, as one rolls on the ground. Really, you better watch the video to get the full effect, because it’s pretty fun. Plus, if you’ve never reacted that way the first time you heard Rage Against The Machine yourself, can you even call yourself a fan? We don’t think so.
Jacob Given’s creation even made its way onto the radar of Tom Morello, the RATM guitarist sharing it on his Twitter with the caption “Once for the people in the back!”.
In his other videos, you can find Jacob playing more time-warped listening sessions on hits like Radiohead. Crawl in 1992, Alice In Chains’ Man in the box in 1993 and up.
