Christina Aguilera to Host ‘Lady Marmalade’ Mini-Reunion at LA Pride
Christina Aguilera is pulling out all the stops for his upcoming performance at LA Pride.
The vocal powerhouse is set to take the stage on June 11 at LA State Historic Park. Sources tell me she’s recruited mya for a mini reunion of their 2011 remake of “Lady Marmalade” from the soundtrack of the Baz Luhrmann-performed “Moulin Rouge!” film. I also hear that members of the national “Moulin Rouge!” a musical will accompany them. The original remake, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Collaboration, also includes Pink, Lil’ Kim and Missy Elliot.
Aguilera is said to be planning an hour-long set for his LGBTQ fans. Xtina is also working on the details of a few other surprises on her show.
The evening program, presented by TikTok, also includes performances on the main stage of Anita, Michaela Jae, bob the drag queen, Rebecca Black and Grag Queen.
The following day, the LA Pride Parade will return to Hollywood Boulevard, site of the world’s first authorized gay pride parade in 1970. The Pride Village post-parade celebration takes place on Hollywood Boulevard between Cahuenga Boulevard and Vine Street. Celebrity Grand Marshal is the star of ‘Hacks’ Brand Indelicato with Paula Abdul serving as an iconic Grand Marshal and Sir Lady Java as Community Grand Marshal.
LA Pride arrives a week after the inaugural WeHo Pride weekend. The West Side concert component, Outloud: Rising Voices, featured performances by Marina, Lil’ Kim, years and years and Jessie J. Janelle Monae served as the icon of the Parade Grand Marshal and JoJo Siwa as Next Gen icon.
