It was a big night at AACTA with original Stan Nitrame sweeping the boards, winning a total of eight awards, including Best Picture at the ceremony.

Caleb Landry Jones and Judy Davis won the trophies for best actor and best actress.

Essie Davis and Anthony LaPaglia won the award for Best Supporting Actor and Actress and The news reader won five awards.

In Hollywood, it all revolved around the People’s Choice Awards.

Kim Kardashian won the coveted Fashion Icon Award and gave Kanye West a startling shout in his acceptance speech.

And Christina Aguilera received her first ever music icon award at the ceremony.

She marked the occasion with a special medley of her iconic ’90s hits and it was fabulous.
