That’s what the girl wants!
Nearly a decade after getting engaged to guitarist Matthew Rutler, Christina Aguilera is still reportedly in no rush to tie the knot with her longtime pal, per Us Weekly.
“There are no wedding plans at this time. [Christina] and Matt are happy as they are,” an insider told the tabloid.
“They are one of those couples who don’t need a document to prove their love for each other,” the anonymous insider added.
The source also described the duo as “true homebodies”, explaining that “they like to relax together at home, like any normal couple, but also like to go out and have dates”.
It’s well known that the lovebirds first met on the set of ‘Burlesque,’ the 2010 film in which Aguilera, now 41, starred as an aspiring singer working as a waitress. cocktail before being taken under the wing of the club owner, played by Cher. Rutler, 37, was a set assistant on the film.
At the time, the “Genie in a Bottle” icon was going through a divorce from music producer Jordan Bratman, with whom she shares 14-year-old son Max.
Rutler successfully proposed to the “Come On Over Baby” singer on Valentine’s Day 2014, and the couple welcomed daughter Summer Rain, now 8, in August of that year.
The source also told Us Weekly that Aguilera “loves being a mom,” but hinted there probably aren’t more kids on the cards for the former “Voice” judge.
