Cook was also asked about the biggest and “most interesting challenge” she faced with the script for the episode she directed. Obviously, as a director, the script is so important and an integral part of the story being told. Without a good script, the director cannot do everything. But luckily for Cook, she was happy with the script she received for her first time as a director.
âWell, first of all, it was an amazing script,â Cook revealed. âAs a director you have butterflies waiting to see this script happen, but when I read it I couldn’t be happier. It was a giveaway, written by Charles Dewey – it was his first episode – and Breen Frazier, who is incredibly talented. It was kinda cute because you had the vet, Breen, and then you had the little “puppies” me and Charlie going over and over, “Oh, that’s so awesome!” We were wide-eyed and happy to be there. She continued, âBut yeah, the script is big, there’s a lot going on. I can’t say much, but this suspect is a bit of a chameleon, so it was really fun to play with.
